Job Description

Firespring looks for something different in the engineers we hire. In addition to producing some stellar code, our engineers work in a highly proactive environment. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Write maintainable, high quality code.
  • Test/review your own code prior to peer review.
  • Provide software feature estimates.
  • Collaborate with other engineers
  • Advocate for quality/integrity of architecture.
  • Evaluate design risks.
  • Solve problems independently.
  • Provide technical mentorship to other engineers.
  • Lift the skills of others around you.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in web development.
  • Expertise in PHP programming.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Expertise with relational databases such as MySQL.
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with MVC and Three Tiered Architecture.
  • Knowledge of coding frameworks such as Laravel and Symphony are a plus.
