Job Description

Firespring is looking for a PR coordinator to help manage the public image of our clients, manage the pieces of their media presence and coordinate between teams to ensure plans are executed to perfection.

This role will be responsible for working directly with Firespring’s Campaign Director, starting with one particular client within the financial and business operations industry. This person should be a motivated and smart team player who brings a sharp eye for detail to the table, along with a personality to get shit done.

If you like to be the person who has their eyes on everything within a campaign and don’t mind pushing people to get all the pieces done and in the right place, then this is the role for you. Oh–and a background in PR can’t hurt.

  • Work with the PR team to set objectives for PR campaigns running through Firespring.
  • Contribute your skills to help maximize key clients’ brand presences across various channels and media.
  • Identify and build trustworthy relationships with everyone on the team in order to facilitate an empowering environment.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, partners and influencers.
  • Write effective press releases and produce consistent communications as needed.
  • Arrange and organize events, interviews and press releases.
  • Ensure strategies are executed on time, on target and on budget.
  • Track and optimize media coverage.
  • Gather and maintain reporting for campaigns.
  • Manage sensitive information.

  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, advertising, marketing, journalism or related field.
  • A couple of years working in the industry under your belt.
  • Proven work experience as a PR coordinator, manager or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects at one time.
  • Confidence when communicating with team members, clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work hand in hand with other project coordinators.
  • A work horse, but able to work smarter–not harder.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Vacation—Paid holidays are a no brainer, but how does unlimited, paid vacation sound? Salaried employees of Firespring are encouraged to take what they need when it comes to time off in order to live their best and healthiest lives.
  • 401(k)—Your parents preached about the importance of saving. Now we’re helping you get it done. Firespring provides professional financial advisors who will help you make a plan and guide your investments.
  • Fun—Millions of people go to work, punch the clock from 8 to 5 and hate every moment of it. That’s not the case here. We have an indoor slide, a game room and a group of people dedicated to creating activities and fun inside and outside the office. To put it mildly, we’re serious about having fun—and it reflects in our work too.
  • Giving back—When your employer makes it possible for you to give back to your community on the clock? Win for everyone. Every Firespring team member gets one paid day off each month to give back to the community in any way they’d like.
  • Miscellaneous Benefits—Not all benefits are about the Benjamins, baby. Some of the things you’ll enjoy while working here include unlimited soft drinks, tea and beer. And don’t worry about your duds—business-casual is the dress code here. Still looking to make your cubicle-shackled friends jealous of your new gig? Our company-wide social and recreational activities are sure to do just that.
